If you also like to eat Matar Paneer, then today we are going to tell you the recipe of Dhaba style Matar Paneer vegetable. Making Matar Paneer vegetable is not very difficult and it is a vegetable which enhances the taste of food. If you have never made Matar Paneer before then you can make it easily with the help of our recipe.
Ingredients to make Matar Paneer Sabzi
- Paneer – 2 cups
- Peas – 1 cup
- Cream – 1/2 cup
- Tomato – 3-4
- Ginger paste – 1 tbsp
- Cumin – 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric – 1/2 tsp
- Red chilli powder – 1/4 tsp
- Garam masala – 1/4 tsp
- Asafoetida – 1 pinch
- Green chilli – 2
- Green Coriander – 3-4 tbsp
- Oil – 3-4 tbsp
- Salt – as per taste
Method:
Fry the paneer lightly:
- First, heat some oil in a pan and fry the paneer cubes until they turn light golden. Take out the fried paneer pieces in a plate and keep them aside.
Prepare the masala:
- In the same pan, add 2-3 tablespoons of oil, add cumin seeds and let it splutter.
- Now add finely chopped onion and fry it until it turns golden brown.
- After this add ginger-garlic paste and green chillies and fry till aroma comes.
- Now add tomato puree or chopped tomatoes and cook it until oil separates from the sides.
Mix the spices:
- Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt to the pan and mix well.
- Fry the spices until the spices start releasing oil and smell nice.
Mix peas and cheese:
- Now add peas to it and fry for 2-3 minutes.
- Add 1 cup of water to the roasted peas, cover it and cook till the peas become soft.
- When the peas are cooked, add fried paneer and kasoori methi to it. Mix all the things and cook on low flame for 5-7 minutes, so that the paneer and peas mix well with the spices.
Add garam masala and garnish:
- Add garam masala to the vegetable, mix and turn off the gas.
- Garnish the delicious Matar Paneer dish with green coriander.
Serve:
- Serve prepared matar paneer with hot paratha, naan, roti, or rice.
