Actually, Jasprit Bumrah has become the best bowling average bowler who has taken more than 100 wickets since 2000 till now i.e. in the last 24 years. His average has become 20.3. He is taking one wicket every 20.3 balls. Glenn McGrath's average was 20.8 and he has now lagged behind Bumrah.

India won the toss and decided to bat first. India had scored 150 runs with the help of Nitish Reddy's 41 runs, Rishabh Pant's 37 runs and KL Rahul's 26 runs. For Australia, Jos Hazlewood took 4 wickets, Storc, Cummins and Marsh took 2 wickets each. By the end of the first day's play, Australia had scored 67 runs at the loss of 7 wickets.
