In such a situation, the dispute continues between PCB and BCCI. However, now ICC is ready to give a big decision regarding hosting this tournament. ICC has announced to hold a meeting for this.

ICC's big announcement

The International Cricket Council has announced to hold an emergency meeting to take the final decision on hosting the Champions Trophy. According to Times of India, ICC is about to give its decision on the future of this tournament. This meeting will be attended by members of all the cricket boards of the world, who are participating in the tournament this time. Apart from this, BCCI will also be available in the meeting. ICC is going to hold this meeting on Tuesday 26 November.

Pakistan as a whole wants to host

Pakistan wants to retain the hosting rights of the Champions Trophy completely. But BCCI has written a letter to ICC saying that the Indian team will not tour Pakistan due to security reasons. BCCI has also said that Team India should not be sent to Pakistan citing lack of permission from the government. BCCI has talked about presenting the tournament on a hybrid model. However, on the other hand, Pakistan wants to retain the hosting of the tournament at any cost. Due to the ongoing dispute between India and Pakistan, the schedule of the Champions Trophy has not been announced yet, whereas the schedule of the tournament was to be announced 100 days in advance.

However, on the other hand, Pakistan has full hope that it will host the tournament entirely. He is continuously advancing his preparations. PCB has also appointed Sumair Ahmed as the tournament director on November 22. On this matter, PCB Chief Mohsin Naqvi said that I have full hope that Sumair will fulfill this responsibility brilliantly. He has considerable experience in administrative work.
