Pakistan is adamant in front of ICC, will not hold any meeting to resolve the Champions Trophy dispute, will the tournament be cancelled?

After which there were reports that Pakistan Cricket Board will hold a meeting with ICC and BCCI regarding Champions Trophy. PCB has rejected this news outright.

A reliable source in the PCB told the media agency, “We have not received any information from the ICC about any meeting between us, BCCI and ICC.” He also said that the PCB has not yet received any response from the ICC on the email it sent to the ICC asking the reasons for India's reluctance to send the team to the neighboring country.

However, an ICC source clarified that an internal meeting may be held on Tuesday to find a solution to the issue. “This is a virtual meeting of the Executive Board members to resolve the issue of the Champions Trophy scheduling once and for all,” he revealed. He said that this meeting has been called because the broadcasters of the program are putting a lot of pressure on the ICC to finalize the programme.

“There is a possibility that there could be voting on what to do and whether the event should be held in Pakistan or it should be shifted,” he said. The 'hybrid model' suggested by the BCCI should be adopted in which India will play its matches in the UAE.”

The official admitted that this time the PCB has also taken a tough stance and is not ready to back down from its stand of hosting the Champions Trophy in Pakistan as they have no problem in hosting any team.
