Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul made a big blast, refreshed 20 years old memories in Australia
The first test match is being played between India and Australia, on the second day of which Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul performed brilliantly for India. In the second innings, both the batsmen presented excellent batting examples. Australian bowlers flopped badly against these two players and could not perform well. After the end of the second day's play, the Indian team has scored 172 runs without any loss and its total lead has become 218 runs.
Both Indian batsmen scored half-centuries
Yashasvi Jaiswal has completed his century. He is present at the crease after scoring 90 runs and KL Rahul has scored 62 runs. Both of them batted in a way that no one expected, because it was difficult to bat on this pitch on the first day. Forget scoring runs, it was almost impossible for the batsmen to stay at the crease. Due to this, 17 wickets fell on the first day. The next day Jaiswal and Rahul did not let Team India face any setback. Both of them have scored 172 runs since opening.
20 year old record repeated
The pair of Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul has become the first Indian opening pair to score a Test century on Australian soil since 2004. In the year 2004, Virender Sehwag and Aakash Chopra made an opening partnership of 123 runs in the Sydney Test. Now Jaiswal and Rahul have equalized these two players by making a century partnership.
Jasprit Bumrah took five wickets in the first innings
Jasprit Bumrah is taking over the captaincy in place of Rohit Sharma in the test match against Australia. They won the toss and decided to bat first. Team India was limited to just 150 runs in the first innings. After this, Bumrah returned to Team India by bowling strongly. He took 5 wickets in the first innings. Due to this, the Australian team was out for just 104 runs and thus Team India got a lead of 46 runs.
