Yashasvi achieved this feat in 205 balls by scoring a brilliant century in Perth. With this century he created history as he became the third Indian after ML Jaisimha and Sunil Gavaskar to score a century in his first Test match in Australia. He also became the fourth youngest Indian to score a century in Australia. This was his first century against Australia and second on foreign soil. Earlier, he had also scored a century in West Indies, which was his first Test century.
1500 runs completed in test cricket
While playing the first Test against Australia, Yashasvi proved that he can give a tough challenge to the batsmen not only by aggressive batting but also by remaining patient and staying on the crease. By scoring a century in Perth, he also completed his 1500 runs in Test cricket.
