If media reports are to be believed, amid all this, Shiv Sena has called a meeting of its legislature party today. The party leader will be formally elected in this meeting. It is noteworthy that the results of Maharashtra Assembly elections were declared on Saturday itself, in which Mahayuti got a huge majority and won 233 out of 288 seats.
At the same time, the meeting of BJP's legislature party can be called on Monday. BJP General Secretary Vinod Tawde has said that the tenure of the Assembly is ending on 26th November and we have to form the government before that. All three parties will together decide on the post of CM and the decision will be taken today itself.
NCP elected Ajit Pawar as party leader
The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) on Sunday elected party president Ajit Pawar as the party leader in the Assembly. In a meeting chaired by party state president and Lok Sabha MP Sunit Tatkare, Pawar was appointed the legislature party leader and his colleague Anil Patil was re-appointed chief whip.
