India vs Australia: The first match of the Border-Gavaskar series is being played between India and Australia. Team India seems to be in a strong position in this match. For India, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Virat Kohli scored strong centuries in the second innings, on the basis of which the team has set a target of 534 runs for Australia to win. The Kangaroo team also had a bad start in the second innings, where they lost three wickets at the score of 12 runs. The team will now have to score 522 runs to win from here, which seems impossible in the current situation. In this match, when there was drinks break during the Indian innings, Kangaroo batsman Steve Smith made the Indian fans happy with his statement.

He said that cracks have started appearing on the Perth pitch and this is not a good sign for his team. He said that his team needs to bat well in the second innings. Smith could not even open his account in the first innings of this match, where he was given out LBW on the very first ball by Indian captain Jasprit Bumrah. In this way, Smith was out on a golden duck for only the second time in his career.

Kangaroo team could score only 104 runs

Under the leadership of Bumrah, the Indian bowlers performed strongly and bowled out Australia for just 104 runs in the first innings. Players like Steve Smith, Marnus Labuschagne, Travis Head and Usman Khawaja could not do anything here and returned to the pavilion early. Mitchell Starc, who came to bat at number nine for the team, scored the highest score of 26 runs, while Alex Carey contributed 21 runs. Starc added 25 runs with Josh Hazlewood for the last wicket and took the team's score beyond 100.

Rahul-Yashaswi did wonders

The pair of Rahul-Yashshvi took the brunt of the Australian bowlers and made a partnership of 201 runs for the first wicket. Both the batsmen batted without any problem and made the biggest opening partnership on Kangaroo soil. During this period, both of them left behind the previous record of 191 runs made by Sunil Gavaskar and Kris Srikkanth in Sydney in 1986.
