KL Rahul sold to the Delhi Capitals for MASSIVE fee at IPL auction

Indian wicketkkeper-batter KL Rahul will be featuring for the Delhi Capitals in the upcoming season of the IPL after getting sold for INR 14 crore at the auction.

The 32-year-old alongside Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant were expected to be the most expensive players of the auction, however Rahul feel behind by a big margin in comparison to the selling price of the other 2 Indian players.

The Indian wicketkeeper-batter may even captain the Delhi-based franchise in the upcoming season of the league after they released former skipper Pant ahead of the auction and didn’t buy him either in the mega auction.

Rahul’s former IPL team didn’t use their Right to Match card on the player as they have already bought his replacement Rishabh Pant for a whopping 27 crore.

With 4,683 runs in 132 IPL matches, Rahul is a seasoned campaigner in the league. A dependable right-handed batter, he has also been a consistent presence for the Indian national team across all three formats of the game.
