Auto News Desk – The launch date of Honda's first electric two-wheeler Activa Electric is near. The company is going to launch it after 4 days i.e. on 27th November. This electric scooter has come into limelight even before its launch. The company has already released some of its teasers, in which information about its features and other specifications has been revealed. Now according to the new information, removable batteries will be available in Activa Electric. Which will be fixed under the seat. There will be space to install two batteries here.
Honda has installed removable batteries in its second electric scooter in the international market. It is likely that the same technology will be used in Activa Electric also. In the teaser video, the battery is seen being removed from the charging dock from the swappable battery station. Which is taken out and inserted into the scooter. Where the second battery was already fixed. This battery can be removed and charged easily at home and the option of Honda Battery Swapping Station will also be available.
The company can take many elements of Activa EV from its CUV e electric scooter. Which was officially introduced by Honda at the 2024 EICMA show. The company has shown the CUV e electric scooter concept at the 2023 Tokyo Motor Show. Activa Electric could be something like this. Honda has shared some teasers of Activa Electric. Its design and mechanisms are expected to be based on the Activa electric CUV e. In the Activa teaser, the electric motor as well as the headlight design and seat shape are quite similar to the CUV e.
CUV e comes in three color options. These include Pearl Jubilee White, Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic and Premium Silver Metallic. Its design retains the scooter's silhouette with modern elements, including sculpted body panels and smooth finishes. The scooter features an apron-mounted headlamp at the front and a sleek tail lamp bar at the rear, which is derived from the foldable pillion footrest. The system facilitates Bluetooth pairing for calls and navigation as well as music controls. Other features include USB-C charging port, 12-inch alloy wheels both front and rear.
The seat height of the CUV e is 765 mm, wheelbase is 1,311 mm and ground clearance is 270 mm. Its weight is 118 kg. It is designed for city traveling. It also has a reverse mode, which makes it easier to reverse the vehicle in narrow streets. Honda CUV e has three riding modes Standard, Sport and Econ. So that the rider can customize his experience.
It is powered by a removable 1.3 kWh battery pack. Due to which the scooter generates maximum power up to 6 kW. Its top speed is up to 80 km/h. It offers a range of up to 70KM when fully charged. Each battery can be charged from 0 to 75% in approximately 3 hours. MRF tires will be available in Activa EV.
