Under this initiative of the Government of India, to make onion available to the customers at cheaper rates, arrangements are being made to sell it at the rate of only Rs 35 per kg. Under this scheme, the Government of Uttar Pradesh and the Government of Bihar can provide vegetable vans to deliver onions to the public. Besides, the location is also being selected for this.

Onion will be available at Rs 35 per kg in Uttar Pradesh

In these cities of Uttar Pradesh, onion is available at only Rs 35 per kg. Onions are available at cheaper prices in cities like Varanasi, Sonbhadra and Mirzapur. Vegetable van facility is going to be provided at 35 locations in Varanasi. This cheap onion is going to be available at 14 places in Sonbhadra also. Whereas in Mirzapur, onion can be bought at only Rs 35 per kg through vegetable vans at 15 places.

Bihar government can also give this gift

Bihar government has also planned to provide cheap onions in 3 cities to provide relief to the people of its state from the rising prices of onions. In cities like Patna, Arrah and Buxar, onion is going to be sold at only Rs 35 per kg with the help of vegetable vans. 12 places have been selected to provide cheap onions in Buxar. Onions will be made available at low prices with the help of vegetable vans at 6 places in Arrah. Also, public can get cheap onion at 8 places in Patna.
