India Hosts First-of-its-Kind 3-day International Conference cum workshop on ECP Therapy organised by International ECP Association

Greater Noida, 25th November 2024: For the first time ever, the International ECP Association (IECPA) is organizing a global conference and workshop to spotlight Enhanced External Counterpulsation (ECP) therapy. This inaugural event, being held in Greater Noida, Delhi NCR, from November 22 to 24, 2024, brings together leading experts, researchers, and practitioners from across the world to discuss and explore the revolutionary potential of ECP in treating complex heart conditions and beyond. With over 100 international delegates participating, the conference aims to set a new benchmark for innovation and collaboration in non-invasive cardiac care.

Present during the inauguration were Dr. SS Sibia-President-IECPA, along with Dr Rakesh Mohanlal-Founder-IECPA, Dr. Anupam Shrivastav-Organising Chairman-IECPA, Dr. Sanoj Raj-Organising Secretary- IECPA, among other dignitaries and speaker from various parts of the world.

The conference will feature a rich scientific program with keynote addresses, workshops, and panel discussions. Renowned cardiologists, researchers, and healthcare practitioners will share their insights on the latest advancements in ECP therapy. Topics include its role in managing cardiovascular diseases, anti-ageing potentials, its integration with other treatments such as ozone therapy, and its potential benefits for post-COVID conditions, diabetes, and even pulmonary health.

During the presidential speech, Dr SS Sibia-President IECPA said “This conference is a historic moment for India and the global medical community. As a practitioner deeply invested in advancing patient care, my work has focused on the pivotal role of enhanced circulation in optimizing treatment outcomes across various specialties. Traditionally, ECP has been primarily used for elderly and frail heart patients who are unsuitable for angioplasty, stents, or bypass surgery, or for those who have opted against surgical interventions. However, ECP goes beyond the conventional. By augmenting circulation through ECP, we can significantly enhance not only cardiac health but also contribute to anti-ageing and overall wellness, transforming the way we care for our patients. Together, we aim to elevate awareness and adoption of this life-changing treatment.”

During the welcome address, Dr Anupam Shrivastav-Organizing Chairman-IECPA said “This conference is a groundbreaking initiative that unites global experts to explore the transformative power of ECP therapy, driving innovation and collaboration for better healthcare outcomes worldwide. Hosting this international gathering of experts highlights the potential of ECP therapy to redefine modern cardiac care, offering a non-invasive, life-saving solution for complex and chronic heart conditions. The IECPA conference is a landmark event that highlights the incredible versatility of ECP, paving the way for its integration into mainstream medicine to revolutionize the treatment of heart and systemic conditions.”

ECP therapy, a non-invasive and cost-effective approach to heart care, has gained recognition for its ability to enhance blood flow, reduce angina, and improve overall cardiac function. Unlike conventional surgical interventions, ECP uses external pressure cuffs to stimulate circulation, offering patients a safer and more accessible alternative to invasive procedures.

This conference aims to foster global collaboration, inspiring practitioners to adopt ECP as a mainstream therapy. Attendees will not only gain insights into groundbreaking research but also engage in practical workshops and discussions.

The event also represents a step forward for India in establishing itself as a hub for medical innovation and research. With international experts converging to exchange ideas and explore partnerships, the conference sets the stage for significant advancements in preventive cardiology.

ECP has emerged as a beacon of hope for patients suffering from chronic heart conditions, including those who are not candidates for invasive procedures. This therapy’s ability to address the root causes of cardiovascular diseases without surgery makes it a promising solution for millions worldwide. This conference is more than a gathering; it’s a movement to revolutionize heart care and redefine the possibilities of non-invasive treatments.
