New Delhi: The Parliament’s Winter Session will witness the tabling of a major proposal which is likely to revolutionise FD nominations. The proposal, if enacted by Parliament, may pave the way for multiple nominations in fixed deposit schemes. This option is expected to ease the process of inheritance of FDs by survivors in the event of the FD holder’s death.
This can significantly reduce wealth-related disputes that occur after the accountholder dies.
