Turkey Russian plane engine fire : The engine of a Russian plane caught fire after landing at Antalya airport in southern Türkiye. 95 passengers and crew on board the plane were evacuated safely. According to reports, the Sukhoi Superjet 100 type aircraft operated by Azimuth Airlines took off from Sochi on Sunday and was carrying 89 passengers and six crew members. According to reports, the pilot made an emergency call after the plane landed at 9:34 pm local time and the airport rescue and fire brigade immediately extinguished the fire.

The cause of the fire could not be immediately known. The Transport Ministry said efforts were underway to remove the plane from the runway. Arrivals of aircraft at the airport have been temporarily suspended, while departures are taking place from the military-run runway.
