Sambhal violence: Rahul Gandhi held BJP government responsible for Sambhal violence, said- Supreme Court should intervene
Handle violence: A day after the violence in Uttar Pradesh's Sambhal, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Monday said the BJP is using power to create a rift between Hindus and Muslims. It is neither in the interest of the state nor in the interest of the country. He also urged the Supreme Court to intervene in this matter as soon as possible. He claimed that the action was taken by the administration without listening to all the parties and insensitively.

According to reports, three people were killed and about 20 injured in a clash between the police and protesters protesting against the court-ordered survey of the Mughal period mosque in Sambhal on Sunday. Many others including security personnel were injured.
Gandhi, in his post written in Hindi on X, said, “The partisan and hasty attitude of the state government on the recent dispute in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh is extremely unfortunate. I express my deepest condolences to those who have lost their loved ones in the violence and firing.” He alleged that the administration acted insensitively without listening to all stakeholders, thereby worsening the situation and resulting in deaths – for which the BJP government is directly responsible.
