New Delhi: Varun Dhawan created his official LinkedIn account only a few days ago. The actor expressed excitement to make new connections and meet industry professionals through social media. However, he soon enough faced a massive wave of trolling online. On November 25, four days after joining the platform, Varun Dhawan’s account seemed to be inactive.
When the actor joined the platform, Varun introduced himself as an ‘Actor, Investor, and Assistant Director’. Although reports suggest that Varun Dhawan has deleted his LinkedIn account. However, that is not the case. Here is what happened.
What happened to Varun Dhawan’s LinkedIn account?
As soon as Varun Dhawan joined the social media platform, he was massively trolled by netizens on Reddit. The line that was most trolled was a part of Varun’s self-description that read ‘passionate actor with 300-crore mega hits’. Netizens complained that although this move is for promotion, they would only encourage other creators to come to LinkedIn and ‘ruin’ the platform ‘by dancing around’. Well, did Varun Dhawan ditch his account after the massive trolling campaign?
As of November 25, Varun Dhawan’s LinkedIn profile is still available, but without his display picture. It is speculated that either the actor attempted to delete his account but ended up only deleting his picture, or this might be his goal alone. Varun Dhawan or his team has yet to address the speculations, but regardless, Varun’s LinkedIn account has only been gaining followers.
