2025 Kia EV6 global debut: Increased range and bigger battery unveiled at LA Auto Show

Delhi Delhi. The 2025 Kia EV6 made its global debut at the LA Auto Show with significant updates including a larger battery for better efficiency and an extended driving range. The updated model features a sleek, futuristic design paired with advanced technology to enhance the driving experience. The GT trim also adds a significant power increase and simulated gear shifts. These improvements position the 2025 EV6 as a strong contender in the expanding electric vehicle market, further strengthening Kia's presence in this segment.

The 2025 Kia EV6 now offers larger battery options, upgraded to 63kWh and 84kWh batteries from the previous 58kWh and 77.4kWh, shared with the Hyundai Ioniq 5. The 84kWh RWD variant offers a range of 513 km, which is 15 km more than the previous long range version. Additionally, towing capacity has been increased to 1,225 kg, making the EV6 more practical. The vehicle also retains its fast charging capability with an 800-volt DC system. The charging port is now moved to the left rear fender on most trims that support the North American Charging Standard (NACS), except GT models.

The 2025 Kia EV6 gets notable updates, including improved handling in rear-wheel drive (RWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) trims, thanks to better steering and a stronger chassis. The high-performance GT variant now produces 601bhp from its dual-motor setup, with a temporary boost to 645bhp in GT mode, an increase of 65bhp from the previous model. It also features Virtual Gear Shift, which simulates a gear shift through sound and torque modulation. Externally, the EV6 now features refined triangular headlights and a trapezoidal-patterned lower grille, while the full-width curved taillights feature updated LED graphics and a redesigned rear bumper. New 19- and 21-inch wheel options are available depending on the trim.
