BJP wants its own CM this time, but Shiv Sena has started pressurizing to retain the current CM Eknath Shinde. However, Ajit Pawar's NCP has extended its support to BJP for the post of CM.

In fact, BJP has won a record 132 seats in the assembly elections, which is much more than the 57 seats of Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde) and 41 seats of NCP (Ajit Pawar). In such a situation, it is natural for BJP to lay claim to the post of CM, but Shiv Sena is not ready to give up the post of CM. In such a situation, BJP would like to take consent from the leaders of all the constituent parties of Mahayuti before taking any decision.

According to sources, the BJP leadership in Delhi has finalized the name of Devendra Fadnavis, while sources associated with Shiv Sena say that no advice has been taken from them regarding making Fadnavis the CM. The party has not yet decided on any name for CM. It is believed that despite winning more seats, the BJP leadership does not want to upset its allies, especially Shiv Sena.

Eknath Shinde Shinde comes from the Maratha community, hence the claim of Maratha leadership in the Maratha reservation movement and other circumstances is quite strong, in view of which the BJP leadership is trying to find a middle path. According to reports, prominent leaders of Maharashtra also attended the wedding of Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla's daughter in Delhi on Monday night.

According to sources, during this time these leaders had discussions with the central leadership of BJP regarding the new CM. In the formula prepared by BJP, Shinde should be brought to the center and his son should be made the Deputy CM and the BJP should be made the CM. There is also discussion that Shinde should not be removed for now and changes should be made later.
