IND vs AUS 2nd Test: The Australian team is being criticized from all sides after suffering a crushing defeat of 295 runs in the Perth Test against India. Australian coach McDonald said that his team will reach Adelaide before the scheduled time for the day-night test starting from December 6. Due to which the team will get more time to practice. He said, “The same people who were in the change room for the Perth Test will be in Adelaide also. There is always a consideration of making changes but the team is selected according to the circumstances.” While McDonald admitted that No. 3 batsman Marnus Labuschagne's form was a matter of some concern, the Australian coach is confident the right-handed batsman can turn it around quickly.

The Australian coach said, “It is an ongoing discussion and there are ups and downs in players' careers, so at the moment he is in one of those phases and there is no doubt that he will be criticized externally. But internally we are really confident that, at his best, he is the player we need.” Regarding Mitchell Marsh's fitness, McDonald said, “I don't think his performance in the first Test was unsatisfactory. We have to keep an eye on his fitness.

McDonald further said, “We have to take responsibility for this defeat, even us coaches. Despite this defeat, the morale of the team is high. Our strategy was right but it could not be implemented.” However, the Australian coach has indicated in his statement that there is little possibility of change in the playing eleven of the Australian team in the second test.
