Chaos in Pakistan, important series canceled due to protest
Pakistan Cricket Board: A 3-match ODI series is being played between Pakistan Shaheen and Sri Lanka A. The last 2 matches of the 3-match ODI series have been cancelled. Pakistan Cricket Board has taken a big decision. Massive protests are underway in Islamabad by supporters of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), the political party led by former Pakistan captain and Prime Minister Imran Khan. Due to this, the remaining matches of Sri Lanka A's tour of Pakistan have been postponed indefinitely.
PCB issued statement
PCB has said in its statement that the board has taken a big decision due to political protests in the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi and the capital of Pakistan. In such a situation, PCB has postponed the last two matches of the 3-match ODI series. The last two matches were to be held at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Wednesday and Friday. Both the boards will soon announce the finalization of new dates to complete the series.
Many things have come to a standstill in the capital Islamabad due to the protests. Imran Khan's supporters are constantly talking about bringing him out of jail and protesting.
The last two matches of the 3-match ODI series being played between Pakistan Shaheen and Sri Lanka A were to be held on 27 and 29 November.
Pakistan had won the match
Pakistan won the first match by a huge margin of 108 runs. Batting first in this match, Pakistan scored 306/7 runs. Mohammad Huraira had scored 26 runs. Apart from this, Haider Ali had played an inning of 108 runs in 94 balls. Whereas Abdul Samad had scored 56 runs in 63 balls. In response to which Sri Lanka A had scored 198/10 runs. Sri Lankan cricket team had to face defeat in this match by 108 runs.
