Love and War: Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal reportedly shot an 80s scene to relive the nostalgia

One of Bollywood’s most eagerly awaited upcoming films is Love & War. Vicky Kaushal, Alia Bhatt, and Ranbir Kapoor will star in this Sanjay Leela Bhansali movie. It has now been revealed that the Raazi co-stars, without Ranbir, filmed a dramatic scene on an 80s disco set as the shoot got underway.

A detailed scene for Love & War starring Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal was reportedly filmed over the weekend (November 23-24, 2024) in Studio 2 in Film City, Goregaon, according to a recent article in Midday. According to reports, a large disco set has been built where the actors will continue filming for seven more days.

Since Sanjay Leela Bhansali desired a setting that would evoke nostalgia, a team worker reportedly told the portal that the set depicts an 80s disco.

Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal booked till December Christmas 2025 for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love and War - India Today

The crew member shared some details, as quoted by Pinkvilla, “The scene sees about 30 soldiers enjoying their time on the dance floor as retro songs, including Laila main Laila, play in the background. In contrast, Alia and Vicky’s characters are seen having an intense conversation, as they share the inner turmoil they are going through.”

According to the source, Alia Bhatt will spend the next ten days filming Love & War. Early in December, she will return to the set of her YRF Spy Universe movie Alpha.

Over the weekend, Ranbir Kapoor was in Goa for the International Film Festival of India (IFFI). He and Vicky Kaushal went to an Air Force Base in Rajasthan before the Love & War filming began in order to be ready for their roles.

According to a Pinkvilla report, “Alia and Vicky have allotted over 200 days to Sanjay Leela Bhansali and won’t be shooting for any film till the director wraps up his epic love story. The idea is to call it a wrap on Love And War by the third quarter of 2025.”
