Indian government issues high risk alert for Android users, personal data may be leaked, know ways to avoid it

CERT-In has issued a high risk alert for Android 15 users. Government cyber security agency CERT-In has informed about many threats in the operating system. By taking advantage of these vulnerabilities, hackers can easily access the data of users' Android devices and destabilize the system.

CERT-In has taken some preventive measures

Android updates: Install security updates released by Google and device manufacturers. For this, click on Settings > System Upgrade > Updates option for device update.

Download apps from trusted sources: Always install apps from Google Play Store. Don't sideload apps from unverified platforms.

Check app permissions: Close any app that doesn't require permissions. Turn on two-factor authentication (2FA) for some apps.

Turn on device encryption: Use device encryption to protect your device and data.
