1 cup tapioca

1 tablespoon rice flour

1 teaspoon roasted cumin powder

2 tbsp sugar

1/2 cup semolina

Refined oil as required

1/2 cup boiled, mashed potatoes

1 teaspoon green chilli

1/2 tbsp red chilli powder

1 sprig curry leaves

1/2 cup coriander leaves

salt as required

Step 1 Mix sago, potatoes and other spices and knead the dough.

To make this delicious recipe, heat refined oil in a deep frying pan. Meanwhile, soak the tapioca pearls (sago) in water for about 30 to 40 minutes. Remove excess water. Take a large mixing bowl and mix tapioca with boiled and mashed potatoes. Add rice flour, chopped green chillies, curry leaves, chilli powder, cumin powder, one tablespoon sugar and coriander leaves and knead the dough.

Step 2 Make sago balls, coat with semolina and fry

From this dough, take out a portion with your hands and make small balls from it. Coat these balls with semolina and fry them in preheated oil until they turn golden brown. Serve hot with any chutney or dip of your choice.
