Director Ashwini Dhir's son Jalaj Dhir dies in a car accident
Filmmaker Ashwini Dhir lost his 18-year-old son Jalaj Dhir in a car crash. The person who was driving the car was reportedly drunk.
Filmmaker Ashwini Dhir, who is renowned for films like Atithi when will you wake up?, Son of Sardarhas lost his 18-year-old son Jalaj Dhir in a tragic car accident. Reportedly, Jalaj was travelling in a car with three friends, when the accident occurred. The crash resulted in the unfortunate demise of Jalaj and one of his occupant. It was reported that the person who was driving the car was drunk and ran at the speed of 120-150 mph.
The car smashed with the divider between the service road and the bridge at Vile Parle. This unfortunate accident led the demise of Jalaj and his friend Sarthak Kaushik. Their other friend Jimmy reported the matter to the police. Police arrested the driver Sahil Mendha under drunk and driving case.
According to the reports by Amar Ujala, Jalaj and his three friends were hanging at his place. They played video games till 3:30 am and then went for drive. They stopped at Sidgi in Bandra for dinner and then got back in car at 4:10 am. Reportedly, Sahil under the influence of alcohol, lost his control and the car collided, leaving him and Jimmy suffering from less injuries, while Jalaj and Sarthak, had fatal wounds.
Jalaj was rushed to the trauma hospital in Jogeshwari East. He was later transferred to Kokilaben Dhirubani Ambani Hospital, where doctors declared that he is no more. On the other Sahil took Sarthak to Bhabha Hospital, Bandra West, where after evaluation, he was declared death.
