Badaun Bridge Accident: Google reacted for the first time, said such a big thing on the death of 3 people

Badaun. Recently, three people died after their car fell from the incomplete bridge of Ramganga built to connect Badaun district of Uttar Pradesh to Faridpur.

It was told that the youth were going after seeing the location on Google Maps. Their car fell off the bridge and all three youths died on the spot. Three people died in an accident due to wrong direction of Google Map. An official said that a case has been registered against four engineers and an unidentified Google Maps official in this matter. Google has reacted on this matter for the first time.

Section of attempt to murder imposed

The FIR also names two assistant engineers and two junior engineers of the PWD as well as unidentified people, news agency PTI reported. The local Google Maps representative is also under investigation and his name has not yet appeared in the FIR.

Badaun District Magistrate Nidhi Srivastava said, “Apart from taking corrective measures at the spot, an FIR has been registered under section 105 (attempt to murder) of the Indian Penal Code against 2 assistant engineers and 2 junior engineers of PWD and unidentified persons “

Know the whole matter

Nitin and Ajit, both in their 30s, and Amit (40), were traveling from Noida to Faridpur in Bareilly to attend a wedding. Google Maps directed the driver to an incomplete bridge, a portion of which had collapsed due to earlier floods, news agency PTI reported citing Badaun police in Uttar Pradesh. There were no barriers or warning signs on the bridge.

On Sunday morning, the car fell into the Ramganga river from a semi-built bridge in Duttganj police station area. To prevent such incidents, PWD and Bridge Corporation have been ordered to inspect all the roads and bridges in the area.

Google reacted on this matter for the first time

A Google spokesperson expressed condolences and confirmed cooperation with the investigation. The spokesperson said that our deepest condolences are with the families. “We are working closely with the authorities and cooperating in their investigation.” Let us tell you that Faridpur Circle Officer Ashutosh Shivam said that a part of the bridge was destroyed in the flood. He said that due to floods earlier this year, the front part of the bridge had fallen into the river, but this change was not updated in the system.
