After this he was appointed in different districts.
During his tenure as Collector in Anuppur, he took on the challenging task of coordinating coal mine excavation planning and Coal India. At that time he also had to face the coal mafia. During this time he worked on the issues of tribal land, encroachment and illegal mining by the mafia. Punitive action was taken against those carrying excess sand. Vehicles were confiscated.
