Apart from this, police said that in this unfortunate incident, an agricultural tractor carrying 11 school children returning from school was washed away in the eastern region of the country on Tuesday evening. Let us tell you that this incident took place near Karaitivu town. In this incident, five children were rescued while six other children, the driver and another person are still missing. Police said in a statement that the search operation is ongoing.

Apart from this, a woman died after a brick wall collapsed in Badulla, a mountainous region in the central part of the country. The Disaster Management Center said eight people were injured in other weather-related incidents.
