International crude oil has declined by 32 percent since May 2014, but Modi government's loot on petrol and diesel continues: Kharge.
New Delhi. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has made a big attack on the Modi government regarding the prices of petrol and diesel. He said, since May 2014, international crude oil has fallen by 32%, but Modi government's loot on petrol and diesel continues. It seems that Modi government has taken some contract to loot the middle class.

Mallikarjun Kharge wrote on social media X, Modi government has looted lakhs and crores of rupees from the general public by imposing excessive taxes, duties and cess on petrol and diesel. According to the answer to the question asked in Parliament, the government has collected more than Rs 36 lakh crore from people's pockets in the last 5 years. Modi government will argue that this money is spent on welfare schemes and infrastructure.
But instead of continuously increasing the funds of welfare schemes, BJP has reduced them by fudging the figures and tampering with the facts. This government is expert in sometimes discontinuing old schemes, sometimes changing the names of Congress schemes to make old schemes new and sometimes trying to earn applause by repeatedly changing the names of its own schemes.
We had already seen the condition of the infrastructure with bridges collapsing, airports' roofs collapsing, cracks appearing on highways and the roof of the new Parliament leaking. International crude oil has fallen by 32% since May 2014, but Modi government's loot on petrol and diesel continues. It seems that the Modi government has taken a contract to loot the middle class.
