“They can score 230-240 in every match”: Aakash Chopra praises a franchise with the most explosive batting line-up for IPL 2025

The ten franchises in the Indian Premier League have assembled good squads for the 18th season of the tournament. Teams competed for their favourite players during a two-day auction process. Former player Aakash Chopra feels that Mumbai Indians have the best batting order and can post big totals in IPL 2025.

Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, and Hardik Pandya, the four retained batters, are capable of putting up big scores. With the addition of Will Jacks, Naman Dhir, and Ryan Rickelton, the five-time champions are looking strong.

“They have the best batting order, and they can be really dominating at home. They can post 230-240 in every match. They can open with Rohit Sharma and select one from Will Jacks or Ryan Rickelton. Two XIs can be made. If Ryan Rickelton plays, Mitchell Santner will be benched, and vice versa. Then Robin Minz will don the wicket-keeping gloves,” Aakash Chopra said.

“I want Rohit and Will Jacks to open the batting and then keep Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, and Hardik Pandya. You would also need Naman Dhir in the middle order. Robin Minz and Mitchell Santner will follow him. Their batting order is dangerous, exciting, explosive, and entertaining,” he added.

At the mega auction, Will Jacks and Naman Dhir were bought for INR 5.25 crore each, and Ryan Rickelton got a contract worth INR 1 crore.
