Nagpur. After Mahayuti got a huge majority in Maharashtra, there was a lot of speculation regarding the name of the Chief Minister. On Wednesday afternoon, Eknath Shinde put an end to all these speculations and said that he has no desire for the post of CM. After this it became clear that Devendra Fadnavis would become the Chief Minister of Maharashtra.

Now former Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis said, there has never been any difference of opinion towards each other in our Mahayuti. We have always taken decisions sitting together. Eknath Shinde ji has done the work of removing the doubts that were in the minds of some people. Soon we will sit with our leaders and take appropriate decisions.
Let us tell you that in the results of Maharashtra Assembly elections, Mahayuti had got a huge majority. Mahayuti has won 230 out of 288 assembly seats. In this, BJP alone has won 132 seats, Eknath Shinde led Shiv Sena has won 57 seats and Ajit Pawar faction's NCP has won 41 seats. The three constituents of the Mahayuti alliance, BJP, Shiv Sena and NCP are the top three parties in the state respectively. Since this huge majority, there was speculation about Devendra Fadnavis becoming the Chief Minister.
Let us tell you that Maharashtra's acting Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said, I have always worked as a worker. I never considered myself a Chief Minister. CM means common man, I worked thinking this…we should work for the people.
Eknath Shinde said, I have no desire to become CM. Whatever decision PM Modi and Amit Shah take, I will accept it. There will be no hindrance from my side while forming the government. I stand together like a rock. Whatever decision is taken in the BJP meeting, we will accept it. There will be no hindrance from our side. I accept BJP's CM.
