Redmi K80 Pro Launched with Snapdragon 8 Elite, 50MP Camera and 6000mAh Battery
The Redmi K80 Pro has launched in China today and as promised in its Grand Slam Experience promo, it has delivered with the right hardware, able to compete in a competitive Chinese mobile market. While there had been talks of the phone being released globally, there has been confirmation from official channels about this.
Display and Visual Experience
The K80 Pro comes with a 6.67-inch TCL M9 OLED 2K display, offering a high resolution of 3200×1440 pixels and a 120hz refresh rate. Xiaomi’s Qingshan Eye Care 2.0 technology aims to reduce the user’s eye strain with a 12-bit color depth and peak brightness of 3200 nits providing a bright and sharp visual experience.
For High Performance and Heated Gaming
The longly awaited and promised Snapdragon 8 Elite processor powers the K80 Pro, providing it with significant improvements in performance and energy efficiency. The gamers would be happy to know that the K80 Pro comes with a D1 gaming chip, LPDDR5X memory, UFS 4.0 storage, and a dedicated cooling system for those long and heated gaming sessions.

The device also incorporates a sleek design with a dual-finish glass unibody and ultra-narrow bezels. Don’t worry about dust or water, as the phone comes with an IP69 rating making it highly resistant to natural forces. The Ultrasonic In-Display Fingerprint Scanner means that instead of using optical sensors, the K80 Pro uses ultrasonic waves to more accurately scan fingerprints using 3d imaging.

Many of the rumours regarding the phone’s camera also came to be true like the fact that it would feature a telephoto lens. The three-camera setup features a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, a 32MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP telephoto lens with zoom capabilities. The phone has a 20MP front camera putting it with the higher-end phones when it comes to taking selfies or attending video calls.

Redmi K80 Pro is backed by a 6000mAh battery and is hooked up to a 120W wired charger and 50W wireless charger. To make the charging safe and efficient the phone comes with Xiaomi’s Surge G3 and G1 systems. Other features concerning connectivity include Wifi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, and NFC. With all of this, the Redmi K80 Pro comes at a budget of ¥3699 (₹43,190, $511, €486), making it the right phone for the right price.
