Andhagan OTT Release Date: Prashanth and Simran starrer lack comedy Andhagan, which is the Tamil adaptation of Ayushman Khurana’s Hindi blockbuster Andhadhun, is now available for watching online.
Released on the big screen earlier this year in August 2024, the comedy entertainer is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video where the platform’s subscribers can enjoy it right from the comfort of their homes.
About the Film
Helmed by acclaimed filmmaker Thaigarajan, Andhagan graced the cinemas on August 9, 2024. Unfortunately, the film failed to click with the moviegoers & ended its Box Office journey as a massive commercial failure.
Made on a considerably high budget of Rs 15 crores, the flick wrapped up its theatrical run with a lukewarm sum of Rs 6 crore (approximately), leaving its makers & stakeholders in extreme disappointment.
Regardless, with the crime thriller now available on OTT, it will be interesting to see if it manages to get a good response from the public on digital screens.
Plot
Krishna, a passionate pianist, pretends to be blind in front of the world in order to gain sympathy & use it to boost his career. One day, his strategy backfires when he becomes the sole eyewitness to a murder while performing at a couple’s house. However, anticipating potential harm by the murders, he continues to fake blindness & keeps playing the piano, pretending as if he is completely unaware of what’s going on in his surroundings.
What will be Krishna’s next move? And how will he save himself while ensuring the culprits get punished for the crime? Watch the movie and find out.

Besides Prashanth and Simran, Priya Anand, Karthik, and Samuthirakani have also played key roles in Andhagan. Shanthi Thiagarajan, in association with Preethi Thiagarajan, has bankrolled the film under the banners of Staar Movies.
