Chahat Fateh Ali Khan claims Pakistani artists envious of his success
Chahat Fateh Ali Khan, known for his unconventional and humorous singing style, has stirred controversy by stating that Pakistani musicians envy his popularity.
In a recently circulated video on social media, Khan shared his views on music, fame, and personal experiences. He expressed frustration over receiving admiration from renowned Indian singers, producers, and directors while facing harsh criticism from his fellow Pakistani artists and TV hosts.
Khan urged Pakistanis to avoid unnecessary negativity and acknowledged his relentless dedication, which has led him to release 48 songs in just two years. He emphasized that his work reflects his commitment and perseverance.
Warning against unwarranted criticism, Khan remarked that such attitudes could eventually harm the critics themselves, calling for more constructive and supportive feedback within the Pakistani music industry.
Earlier it was revealed that Chahat Fateh Ali Khan, who gained fame for his viral singing videos, was once a first-class cricketer in Pakistan.
According to reports, Khan’s real name is Kashif Rana, and he played two first-class matches for the Lahore region in the 1983-84 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy season, scoring 16 runs across three innings.
He later moved to the United Kingdom in search of better opportunities and played club cricket there for 12 years.
Kashif rose to social media fame last year as ‘Chahat Fateh Ali Khan,’ with his entertaining singing videos attracting millions of views. Earlier this year, he also performed a song for the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
In an iinterview khan claimed that former Pakistani Test cricketer Aaqib Javed played under his captaincy during their school cricket days, a statement for which he was heavily trolled.
“I selected Aaqib Javed for the cricket team of a government school in Sheikhupura. He played under my captaincy,” he said in an interview with media.
