Patna: The result of Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024 may or may not impact the politics of the country, but it is almost certain that its result will impact the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025. Because, for BJP, the situation like Maharashtra may arise in Bihar also. BJP has won 132 seats by fighting in alliance in Maharashtra. BJP needs only 13 seats to reach power in Maharashtra.
If BJP wants, it can form government on its own also. But, BJP will not do this to save the alliance. After BJP becoming a major party, Shiv Sena leader and current CM Eknath Shinde has almost given up the claim for the post of Chief Minister. After this decision of Shinde, uneasiness may increase in the politics of Bihar in the coming days. The situation in Maharashtra may also arise in Bihar Assembly elections 2025 with the current Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
Will BJP become the Chief Minister?
If BJP becomes a major party in the Bihar Assembly elections 2025, then perhaps Nitish Kumar will have no other option but to give up his claim for the post of Chief Minister. This is currently visible from the decisions of both the constituent parties of Mahayuti in Maharashtra, NCP Ajit Pawar and Shiv Sena Eknath Shinde faction.
