Responding to this, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said, 'The bedsheets and blankets given to railway passengers are washed at least once a month and an extra blanket is given to add to the bedsheet. The sheets currently used in Indian Railways are light and easy to wash.
Thus passengers get a comfortable traveling experience. The BSI standard for new sheets has also been increased. The quality of sheet washing machines and fluids has been determined. The Railmadat portal has been updated for complaints in this regard.
