Eknath Shinde bowed to BJP because of his son Srikant? Know what is the truth

Mumbai: After the election results in Maharashtra, the ongoing battle for the post of Chief Minister has finally ended after the statement of Eknath Shinde. Eknath Shinde made it clear in the press conference that he has no desire for the post of CM, whatever decision Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah take, he will accept it.

After this statement of Eknath Shinde, it has now become clear that the BJP will be the Chief Minister in the grand alliance government that is going to be formed under the leadership of BJP in Maharashtra. Now the question is being raised that what is the reason that Eknath Shinde came on the backfoot and decided to give up his insistence on the post of Chief Minister. If this was what was to be done then why was there a high voltage drama four days after the election results were announced with Shiv Sena insisting on making Eknath Shinde the CM again?

Why did Shinde bow down?

The reason behind Eknath Shinde's changed tone and insistence on giving up the post of CM is believed to be his MP son Shrikant Shinde. According to sources, Eknath Shinde had demanded to appoint his son Shrikant Shinde as Deputy Chief Minister in the Maharashtra Cabinet led by Devendra Fadnavis.

According to media reports, Eknath Shinde does not want demotion from the post of Chief Minister to Deputy Chief Minister, hence Eknath Shinde said that if the demand of making his son Shrikant Shinde the Deputy CM is fulfilled, then he himself is ready to stay out of the government. It is being said that this demand of Shinde has been accepted by the top leadership of BJP.

There will be many new faces in the cabinet

According to the source, BJP state president from Nagpur Chandrashekhar Bawankule will take oath as the minister along with the Chief Minister. It is being said that along with him, three new faces from Vidarbha will be given a chance. Washim and Yavatmal can become ministers one each from Wardha. Not only this, there is every possibility of another MLA also getting a ministerial post. This time there will be an increase in the number of ministers as compared to the previous government.
