Rahul Dravid’s warning to Australia on Virat Kohli before the 2nd Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test

The former head coach of Indian men’s team, Rahul Dravid, mad a prediction that Virat Kohli might have a memorable series in Australia. Rahul stated on Star Sports that Kohli might end up breaking apart the Australians in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy, since he has been batting nicely on the challenging ground.

He’s been batting really well, even in South Africa a few months ago when we were there, I thought he was batting really well on a couple of difficult wickets. It’s just nice for him to be able to get that hundred at the start of the series. I think he could have a big series,” said Dravid on Star Sports.

Former Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar also had discussed about the obvious change in the batting strategy chosen by Virat Kohli at the Optus stadium in Perth.

His body was completely relaxed when he came into bat in the second innings. In the first innings, he came out to bat when India had lost two early wickets, he might have been under pressure. In the second innings, I think he gave himself a little more time to play the ball and, apart from the wider stance, I think he allowed himself to play the bounce by being a little bit more upright,” Gavaskar said at the end of the match.

Kohli has had a below-par performance against New Zealand at home grounds as he scored just 93 runs in three Tests. During the first Test at Perth, Kohli adjusted his style, practised according to the conditions, and controlled the Australians right as he came on the pitch.
