Experienced Australian star surprised by Yashasvi Jaiswal's performance in Perth Test
Mumbai Mumbai. Team India registered a spectacular victory by defeating Australia at the Optus Stadium in Perth. The Indian team won the first match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy series. The biggest support to the team in batting was given by opening batsman Yashasvi Jasiwal, who scored a big score to keep the team in top gear. Australia's experienced fast bowler Mitchell Starc was very happy with the Indian left-handed batsman's performance in Perth and praised the young Jaiswal.
During a program on Star Sports, Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc praised young Indian batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal. The 22-year-old left-handed batsman was praised by the Australian pacer as a tremendous talent in Indian cricket and said that he will play a lot of cricket for the national team.
“He's not playing his first match, so obviously there's a bit of hype about him, and he's obviously very skilled. I think we saw that in the second innings this week. He's a huge talent in India. And he is going to play a lot of cricket for them. It was good to get him out cheaply in the first innings, but he definitely improved in the second innings,” Mitchell Starc said.
Yashasvi Jaiswal was an important part of Team India's dominance in the second innings. After being out for a duck on eight balls, the left-handed batsman made a strong comeback and along with KL Rahul helped stabilize Team India and add big figures on the scoreboard. Rahul played an inning of 77 runs in 176 balls, while Jaiswal played an inning of 161 runs in 297 balls and made a huge opening partnership of 201 runs. Virat Kohli put the frosting on the cake by returning to his form and scoring a brilliant century at the Optus Stadium in Perth. With the help of Nitish Kumar Reddy and Washington Sundar, Team India set a difficult target of 534 runs.
