Pune’s IT Megahub Hinjewadi Will Get Metro Connectivity From This Date

With more than 74% of the work completed, the metro project that connects Shivajinagar, Baner, Balewadi, and Hinjawadi is almost finished.

By March of the following year, the 23.2-kilometer metro line should be operational.

Hinjewadi Metro To Run By March 2025

The Rs 8,313-crore project is moving forward according to plan and would help thousands of Pune commuters and IT workers with their daily traffic.

The metro line would link important residential and commercial districts, giving commuters much-needed respite.

Large IT centers are located in rapidly developing areas like Baner, Balewadi, and Hinjawadi, which are infamous for having terrible traffic congestion that results in protracted delays.

On December 8, 2018, Prime Minister Narendra Modi lay the groundwork for the metro project.

Locals and workers have been anxiously anticipating the metro’s ability to ease traffic.

Given the continued population growth in Baner, Balewadi, and Hinjawadi, the metro project is anticipated to revolutionize public transportation in the area.

The need for effective transportation has grown as a result of urbanization, the arrival of IT workers, and the growth of industries in these regions.

The most congested parts of Pune see severe traffic jams, which annoy locals and workers who have long commutes.

The metro will provide an effective means of transportation between residential neighborhoods, business districts, and industrial locations.

The initiative intends to lessen traffic congestion on local roadways and enhance workers’ everyday commutes.

Traffic alleviation and shorter commutes are two advantages for IT workers at Hinjawadi’s large IT park.

It is anticipated that the metro will eventually lessen Pune’s reliance on private automobiles, promoting a move to public transportation.

63% of Project Budget Goals Already Met

The PMRDA head engineer, Rinaj Pathan, claims that 63% of the project’s budgetary goals have already been met.

It is anticipated that the remaining project tasks will be finished on time.

The metro line will have cutting-edge amenities that satisfy global requirements for efficiency, comfort, and safety.

The metro would improve communication between Baner, Balewadi, Hinjawadi, and Shivajinagar once it is up and running.

The initiative will assist in reducing traffic on Pune’s main thoroughfares.
