Indian Railways launches Sanraksha mobile application across the country.

Indian Railways today took another step towards passenger safety by launching the Sanraksha mobile application across the country. The objective of this application is to improve railway safety through capacity building of frontline safety category employees of Indian Railways. Ravindra Goyal, Member, Operations and Business Development, Railway Board, launched the Safety Mobile Application today in the presence of all Divisional Railway Managers, Principal Chief Operating Managers, Principal Chief Operating Managers and officers of all Divisions of Indian Railways.

The application has been designed by Dilip Singh, a 2013 batch IRTS officer, who is currently serving as Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, South East Central Railway, Nagpur. On this occasion, Smt. Namita Tripathi, DRM, Nagpur Division, talked about the implementation of the pilot project in Nagpur Division and how it has proved useful in enhancing security in the Division. In which 16 circles have been initially selected for rollout. This application integrates the subject knowledge of Indian Railways with the potential benefits of Information Technology, Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence in the future, to provide an intelligent, effective and scalable system to meet the training and capacity building needs of Railway employees.
