MS Dhoni Salary CSK:The IPL 2025 auction has been completed in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. 182 players were sold in this auction, out of which 62 were foreign players. Bids for some players ran into crores, while the price of some came down to lakhs. The name of former CSK captain MS Dhoni is also in this list. He has been retained by CSK for IPL 2025 for Rs 4 crore. Due to which Dhoni's salary has reduced. At the same time, CSK has also bought some players whose salary is more than Dhoni.
CSK's new players and their salaries
Noor Ahmed – Rs 10 crore
19 year old Afghan player Noor Ahmed was bought by CSK for Rs 10 crore in IPL 2025 mega auction. His base price was Rs 2 crore, but CSK made him a part of their team by bidding for Rs 10 crore. Now his salary is more than Dhoni.
R Ashwin – Rs 9.75 crore
CSK bought India's legendary off-spinner R Ashwin for Rs 9.75 crore. Ashwin was earlier a part of Rajasthan Royals, but this time CSK included him in their team. His salary is also double that of Dhoni.
Devon Conway – Rs 6.25 crore
New Zealand batsman Devon Conway was bought by CSK for Rs 6.25 crore. His base price was Rs 2 crore, and his salary is also more than Dhoni.
Khaleel Ahmed – Rs 4.80 crore
CSK bought fast bowler Khalil Ahmed for Rs 4.80 crore. His base price was Rs 2 crore. His salary is also more than Dhoni.
MS Dhoni's IPL salary
Dhoni's salary has decreased significantly in the last few years. He will get Rs 4 crore in IPL 2025, whereas his salary in 2024 and 2023 was Rs 12 crore. From 2018 to 2021, he earned Rs 15 crore every year.
It is clear from this that Dhoni's salary is no longer what it was before, but his captaincy and experience are still very important for CSK. Even though his salary has reduced, Dhoni's contribution will always be important for CSK. His passion for cricket and contribution towards the team will always be remembered.
