Bangladesh government should shoulder the responsibility of protecting minorities, India bluntly on violence against Hindus, Bangladesh government should shoulder the responsibility of protecting minorities, India bluntly

New Delhi. India has reacted and expressed protest against the current situation and atrocities on minorities and Hindus in Bangladesh. On behalf of India's Ministry of External Affairs, spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that our position on this matter is clear. The interim government of Bangladesh should fulfill its responsibility of protecting minorities. These incidents cannot be dismissed as mere media exaggeration. India has consistently and strongly raised the issue of attacks and violence on Hindus and other minorities with the Government of Bangladesh. We are concerned about extremist rhetoric, increasing violence against minorities and incidents of incitement.

External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Jaiswal said that we once again urge Bangladesh to take all necessary steps for the safety of its minorities. On the arrest of ISKCON priest Chinmay Krishna Das, Jaiswal said, we see ISKCON as a globally reputed organization with a strong record of social service. As far as the arrest of Chinmoy Das is concerned, we have noted that legal processes are underway in this case and we hope that these processes will be dealt with in a fair, equitable and transparent manner to ensure full respect for all people. Can be done.

Let us tell you that Chinmoy Krishna Das Prabhu had protested against the attack on Hindus in Bangladesh, after which he was arrested by Bangladesh Police and treason action is being taken against him. On the supply of goods from India to Bangladesh, the Ministry of External Affairs said that the supply of goods from India to Bangladesh is continuing and similarly, trade is also going on smoothly in both directions between Bangladesh and India.
