The Congress party on Friday ruled out any alliance with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Delhi Congress president Devendra Yadav said that the party will contest all 70 seats on its own in the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections. He said that the decision regarding the chief ministerial candidate will be taken by the Congress Legislature Party after the elections.

There was an alliance between Congress and AAP in the Lok Sabha.

Let us tell you that in the Lok Sabha elections held this year, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) had contested the elections in alliance with Congress in Delhi, but both the parties failed to win even a single seat. After the Lok Sabha elections, Aam Aadmi Party leaders started saying that their party will contest the assembly elections alone in Delhi. Congress does not have a single MLA in Delhi. In the last elections, Aam Aadmi Party had won more than 60 out of 70 seats.

Earlier this month, Aam Aadmi Party National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal had compared the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections to a 'religious war' similar to the Mahabharata. While addressing a program, the former CM had said that Delhi Assembly Elections is like a 'religious war'. BJP has immense wealth and power like the Kauravas, but God and people are with us like the Pandavas.
