Marcus Stoinis returns to Punjab Kings after 6 years

Punjab Kings added Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis in the auction for Rs 11 crore. Stoinis also started his IPL career with Punjab. He played for the franchise from 2016 to 2018.

Stoinis has scored 1866 runs in 96 IPL matches played so far, in which his best score was 124 not out. He has also done wonders in bowling and taken 43 wickets, out of which 4/15 was his best.

Explosive all-rounder Maxwell also returns to Punjab Kings

Punjab Kings bought Glenn Maxwell, who played for RCB last season, for Rs 11 crore for Rs 4.20 crore. However, his performance last season was disappointing. In IPL 2024, Maxwell scored only 52 runs in 9 matches and took 6 wickets in bowling. But his past record for Punjab has been excellent. The team and fans hope that Maxwell will create a stir with bat and ball again in 2025.

Rising star Marco Janson also becomes part of Punjab Kings

Punjab Kings included South African young all-rounder Marco Jansen in the team for Rs 7 crore. Yansen is famous for his fast batting and sharp bowling. He represented Mumbai Indians in the IPL last year.

In the 21 IPL matches played so far, Yansen has taken 20 wickets, in which his best performance was 3/25. In batting, he has scored 600 runs in the lower order at a strike rate of 100. Punjab Kings hope that Yansen will provide balance to the team.
