England Star makes a massive statement on getting signed by RCB

One of the most hard hitting all rounders Liam Livingstone has new homes of Royal Challengers Bengaluru after being acquired at the auction in exchange for Rs. 8.75 crore at the IPL 2025 edition. Livingstone entered the auction after having his contract terminated by Punjab Kings. Overall, 4 franchises bid on the England batter, with the Bengaluru team winning the battle. After completing his transition from PBKS to RCB, Livingstone made quite a blunt statement: he expects himself to deliver way better in Bengaluru than he did in Punjab.

Livingstone had a very up and down time in Punjab. He played three seasons with PBKS and gathered scores of 437, 279, and 111 runs as an all-rounder for England. According to him, moving to Bengaluru will send his career on a very positive turn seeing the size of M Chinnaswamy stadium.

“The fan base is very passionate. It’s probably one of the biggest franchises in IPL… It’s a little bit of a fresh start for me,” said Livingstone to Reuters.

“I think Bangalore is going to be very good for my game. It’s a little bit smaller than some of the stadiums in India, certainly better than what Punjab was for me. Hopefully, my game should suit that place well.”

Livingstone further praised the new RCB believe that they did exceptionally well in the mega auction: Jitesh Sharma, Phil Salt, Romario Shepherd, Krunal Pandya, Tim David, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Josh Hazlewood make the list of sourced top players.

“I feel we had an excellent auction. We have some good players; we picked quite smartly,” he added.

Livingstone is quite excited about sharing the dressing room with Virat Kohli

“There is a few people within that team I know quite well, so I’m looking forward to getting out there as a group. Playing with the likes of Virat is going to be really cool,” he said.

“I’ve been enjoying leading my country, because captaincy is a proud moment for anybody to head a country … fortunately fit at the moment and playing something we love.”
