There had been rumours that England’s captaincy would be changed but following the same, the team’s manager Thomas Tuchel talked about the same. He said that Harry Kane will be continuing as the captain of the team, putting down all the rumours of any changes in the leadership.
The recent wins that the team got in the UEFA Nations League have helped Thomas Tuchel regain the trust he had in Harry Kane. Tuchel talked about the same on the day when the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying draws were announced. It was revealed that England will be going against Serbia, Albania, Latvia, and Andorra in their Group games in March.
Thomas Tuchel told the reporters,“There is at the moment no need to think about change. Harry was always a top captain for England. So why do you even think about it at the moment?”
He further continued saying that,“You cross the river when you cross the river. First, come January, we will be in touch with everyone and get the feeling for St George’s Park and also the players. And until March, there’s still a lot of football to be played, and then we will try to find the best group for the games that await.”
