How to make Kumbhaniya Bhajiya

1. prepare vegetables

  • First of all, wash green garlic, green chilli, green onion, green fenugreek and green coriander and chop them finely.
  • Make sure that the vegetables are fresh and clean, so that the bhajiya tastes better.

2. make the mixture

  • Take gram flour in a big vessel. Add turmeric, salt and baking soda to it.
  • Now add all the chopped vegetables to it.
  • Add water as required and knead it into a light thick batter.
  • Finally add lemon juice, which will give slight sourness to the bhajiya.

3. fry pakodas

  • Heat oil in a deep pan.
  • Make small pakodas from the prepared batter and drop them into the oil.
  • Fry the pakodas on medium flame until they become golden and crisp.
  • Take out the fried pakodas on tissue paper to absorb excess oil.

  1. Use of baking soda is optional. If you don't want to add it, it won't make much difference to the texture of the bhajiya.
  2. You can increase or decrease the quantity of vegetables as per your choice.
  3. To make the pakodas crisp, heat the oil well, but keep the flame medium while frying.
