The health of an eight-year-old boy, who was injured in the stampede before the premiere show of Pushpa 2 at Sandhya Theater in Hyderabad on December 4, is critical. He was kept on ventilator support. According to a health bulletin issued by Hyderabad's KIMS Cuddles Hospital on Tuesday, there has been no improvement in Tej's neurological condition. He has been kept in ICU.
According to doctors, he is on mechanical ventilation. In this, less support of oxygen and pressure is being given. Additionally, a tracheostomy procedure is being considered to remove him from the ventilator. Let us tell you that under this, a pipe is inserted into the respiratory tract for breathing. “His fever is subsiding and his life support parameters are stable on minimal inotropes. He is feeding well,” a statement from the hospital said.
The hospital statement said that Tej was brought to the hospital on December 4 with low oxygen and breathing difficulties. Oxygen support was removed on 10 December, but he was intubated again on 12 December due to respiratory failure.
Meanwhile, Hyderabad City Police Commissioner CV Anand, after visiting the hospital, said that Tej was brain dead due to lack of breathing and it would take a long time for him to recover.
On December 4, a stampede occurred during the premiere show of Pushpa 2 at Sandhya Theatre, where actor Allu Arjun was also present. A huge crowd reached the theater to see the actor, leading to a stampede at the spot. During this time, 35-year-old Mogudampalli Revathi and her son Tej died of suffocation. The police gave him CPR and admitted him to the hospital. Revathi was declared dead.
Last week, Allu Arjun was arrested in this case, but the Telangana High Court granted him interim bail. After this he was released within a day. Police have registered a case against the theater management, Allu Arjun and his team on charges of culpable homicide.
