Malaysian couple hold wedding in Da Nang
A Malaysian couple chose a five-star resort in Da Nang to hold their wedding this week through a program aimed at attracting wedding tourism.
According to the city Department of Tourism, the nuptials of Lavania and Kuramaguru took place on Dec. 16 and 17 at Naman Retreat Da Nang, with nearly 100 guests arriving from Malaysia.
Captivating attractions and the range of luxury resort services were the main reasons why the couple chose Da Nang for their important event, they said as reported by Da Nang News.

When they arrived at Da Nang airport on Dec. 15, they were welcomed by the tourism department with a congratulatory message on an LED screen in the immigration area.
In 2024 the department helped organize weddings for many foreign couples from Australia, India, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, and others.
They included four wealthy Indian couples, who had over 1,200 guests and numerous ceremonies and unique activities.
In March 2024 the Da Nang Marriott Resort & Spa hosted its first-ever Indian wedding, a vibrant three-day celebration. They had 250 guests from Hong Kong, the Philippines, India, and the U.S.
Another Indian wedding took place shortly after at the Hyatt Regency Da Nang Resort, which saw more than 200 guests in attendance for the three-day ceremony.
By the end of September, the total number of visitors to the city topped 8.67 million, a 33% increase from the same period in 2023, and 163% up from the same period in 2019, the year before Covid began to disrupt global travel.
Of this number, foreign visitors are estimated at more than 3.17 million, increases of 30% and 134%.
