He said in a press conference on Monday that if they tax us, we will tax them equally. They take 100 or 200 percent tax from us, and we don't take anything from them. This will not work anymore.

Trump made this statement in response to a question on a possible trade agreement with China. Referring to India and Brazil, he said that these countries impose high import duties on American products. Giving an example, he said that if India sends us a bicycle and we send them a bicycle, they take 100 percent tax from us. Now we will also do the same.

Howard Lutnick, Trump's choice for Commerce Secretary, also said that “reciprocity” will be among the priorities of the Trump administration. He said that as you treat us, we will treat you the same way.
